Say Tulip

A tulipiere is a multi-tier tulip vase popularized by the Dutch in the sixteenth century during the tulip craze. Carol Gouthro curated a tulipiere show for the Museum of Northwest Art, located in Washington state‘s Skagit Valley, site of legendary American tulip fields.

“Say Tulip” was created for that show. The decoration shows my daughter’s two lips pronouncing the syllables of “tulip.”
